Zac has taken a unique path to become a physical therapist. Upon graduating from high school, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Reconnaissance Marine and Scout Sniper. Shortly after returning from a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq, he decided he would like to pursue a career in physical therapy. He went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the Pennsylvania State University. He then attended physical therapy school at Emory University and went on to complete an orthopedic residency as well at Emory. He has a special interest in the use of Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) within the clinical setting. He has been using BFR with his patients for approximately six and a half years. Additionally, he has taught continuing education courses on the science, mechanisms of action, and clinical integration of BFR. Zac has also taught a BFR course within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at High Point University.
