Panel Lectures: Pain Science

The pain science panel will showcase a variety of new, exciting topics in pain science – hypnosis, update on neuropathic pain and pediatric pain. First, Dr. Navidi, a clinical psychologist will discuss how altering consciousness via hypnosis is used for clinical practice and gaining evidence for various pain conditions. The second lecture will focus on emerging pain science for older adults focusing on pain education and graded motor imagery. There is currently a lot of activity in the pain science world and pediatric pain. The final session aims to show clinicians, who typically treat adults with pain, how to approach kids (and their accompanying adults) who present with pain.
